"On the Ukrainian jazz stage "Aziz", certainly, is one of the most interesting ensembles, in members of which are young, but already quiet skilled performers. All the musicians have received brilliant education that allows them to perform practically any music. The "Aziz" is a pianist, a composer and an arranger Roxana Smirnova, a saxophonist Andrei Mishakov, a trumpeter Miroslav Pyatnikov, a double-bass player Vitaly Fesenko and a drummer Alexander Kostyuchenko. The musicians play together from 2002. For this period, they had time to become known enough in Ukraine and beyond its borders. "Aziz" successfully performed in a jazz-festivals in Odessa, Donetsk, Cherkassy, Vinnitsa, Krakow. In Odessa, the musicians cooperate with "Club of High Music" and its founder - a famous pianist and composer Jury Kuznetsov.

The "Aziz" - is a collective of adherents, it is active and competently making use accumulated experience of playing in different ensembles. Practically all participants of the quintet cooperated with the famous Ukrainian and Russian jazz musicians, and played jazz and academic music in Russia, Poland, Germany and France.

Today the "Aziz" favorably differs from many young and quite successful Ukrainian jazz groups that tries to perform mainly its own music. The participants of the quintet putting in each composition something original. The experience of performance of well-known standards and erudition allow them to be guided easier and more brightly to use various musical languages.

The Music of the "Aziz" is not necessary to retell. It is needed to listen to. Original music of the quintet is focused on the European modern jazz school - with elements "Fusion", "Free" and with active use of ethnic music of different countries. Universality is peculiar to musicians of the quintet - they comfortably feel both in a concert hall and on a club stage. "
